Violent clashes occurred between armed forces loyal to President Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi and the Popular Resistance on one side, and the Houthi militant group in Jabal Habashy district in Taiz, leaving casualties on both sides.
Local sources said the Houthis backed by forces loyal to former Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Salehlaunched a harsh attack on the Jabal Habashy district and managed to seize Tebishaa village, where violent battles lasted for several hours.
It is to be noted that all the armed forces fighting against the Houthis are local as well as their leadership and they lack support from the Arab Coalition, in contrary to other districts such as Al Mukha and Bab el-Mandb cities.
